What is Stream Team?

Stream Team is a group of people who care about Missouri streams. It is citizen-based and biologists provide training and expertise at no charge to help with stream projects and information.

What types of people or groups are involved?

Individuals of any age, families, groups, or organizations of any type can be Stream Teams.

What types of projects can I get involved in?

Litter pickups, storm drain stenciling; water quality monitoring, habitat improvement, advocacy, greenways, or educational projects are all possibilities. We provide training in several of these areas and have staff to help you get started. We also provide materials at no charge for many Stream Team projects.

 THE INFORMATION BELOW SHOULD HELP EACH PARTICIPANT HAVE A PRODUCTIVE, SAFE AND FUN EXPERIENCE WORKING AS PART OF A STREAM TEAM

 Parents you are responsible for your children. Be aware of their location at all times so that they are not injured in the creek

 The Claycomo Fire Department will have Emergency Medical personnel on hand to assist with any injuries

 If you are working in the creek you must wear shoes, not flip flops or crocs

 If you are cleaning the creek please wear the gloves that are provided to you
