THE MISSION OF THE EDC

The Economic Development Committee will meet the third Monday of each month at 2pm in the Community Building. The committee is just getting started in their goal of empowering businesses of the Village to bring forth ideas that will help grow and maintain growth in Claycomo. We want to extend an invitation to individuals who would like to be involved in a positive experience that will greatly impact the Village of Claycomo and its future. Below is the mission statement of the committee that will be ever changing. The primary mission of the Claycomo Economic Development Council is to foster a strong economic environment which supports businesses and nurtures growth. We will serve as a catalyst to create a “friendly small Village” next to the larger metropolitan area. While looking for outside sources in which to expand our revenue base, we should work to make Claycomo a destination with unique attractions, small town charm, quaint shoppes, and a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. We are dedicated to aggressively pursuing all avenues of growth for new and existing businesses, toward the goal of maximizing employment opportunities, seeking to create ways to enhance and expand the Village’s revenue structure, tax base and quality of life.
